See What Our Patients are Saying!

"After 2 years of trying different types of medical treatment, I have finally found relief for my chronic headaches from Dr. Restaino" - Kathy F. Ft. Mitchell, Ky

"I went to Restaino Chiropractic for severe low back pain.  My pain was relieved quickly and I was able to resume my normal activity.  My back used to go out a few times a year.  Now I get treated once per month and haven't had an episode in 2 years." - Don R.  Ft. Wright, Ky

"I was injured in an auto accident and couldn't move my neck and shoulder.  After only a few adjustments my pain was greatly decreased and 2 months later I was back to normal." Samantha G.            Villa Hills, Ky

"Not only has the pain in my back and neck been helped, but I noticed I haven't had any digestive trouble or urinary tract infections since being under chiropractic care" - Jim A. Cincinnati, Oh

"I hurt my shoulder and elbow playing sports and my MD said I had rotator cuff and elbow tendinitis.  Medications did not help and after 2 months it was no better.  My co-worker told me to see Dr. Restaino.  I knew Chiropractors could help neck and back pain, but didn't realize how much they could help other problems.  My shoulder and elbow feel great. Thank you." - Ian K. Ft. Mitchell, Ky

"I suffered from neck pain for years before trying treatment from Restaino Chiropractic.  I haven't  felt this good in a long time.  I wish I had come here sooner." - Kelley M. Latonia, Ky

"My son had ear infections repeatedly for over 2 years.  My sister is a patient of Dr. Restaino and suggested I bring Jake to his office.  After three weeks his ear infections cleared up and he hasn't had one since." - Connie P. Taylor Mill, Ky

"I injured my back at work and wasn't able to move for days.  I missed 2 weeks of work before going to the Chiropractor.  He had me back to work within 1 week and pain free in a month.  I now tell all my friends and coworkers to try a Chiropractor first." -Jimmy B.         Florence, Ky

"The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.  They have helped my family and I with numerous conditions over the past 10 years.  I would recommend Restaino Chiropractic to anyone who needed a Doctor." Rhonda D.        Covington, Ky

Your First Visit To Our Office

When you enter our office you will be greeted by our friendly and efficient staff.  There will be some minimal admitting paperwork to fill out and if you have insurance, we will make a copy of your card to verify your benefits.  Then you will be given a short tour of the office on the way to the consultation and examination room.

Consultation

The purpose of the consultation with Dr. Restaino is to discuss your reason for coming to the office and your health goals.  During a brief conversation he will ask a few questions and do a lot of listening.  If he feels your case can be helped by Chiropractic, you will move along to the examination.  If not we will refer you to the proper healthcare provider.

Examination

A complete examination will be performed.  Many patients comment on how thorough our exam is compared with other doctors they have consulted.  It will include Orthopedic, Neurological, Chiropractic and, if necessary, x-ray evaluations.

     Orthopedic

These exams test your ability to turn, bend and move the joints of your musculoskeletal system through their expected range of motions.

     Neurological

We will evaluate your dermatomes (sensation), deep tendon reflexes, muscle strength and other aspects to determine the health of your nervous system.

     Chiropractic

These tests include postural evaluation, balance/coordination, static and dynamic palpation (feeling and motioning the joints, muscles and ligaments) and other procedures to evaluate the stability of your spine and extremities.

     Radiological

X-rays can help locate any bone abnormalities, fractures, tumors, and determine the condition of your spine and joints.

Your Second Visit To Our Office

After studying your health history, examination results and reading your X-rays, we'll make recommendations designed to help you recover and keep your health.  This is called the Report of Findings.  We usually attend to this on the second visit.  In certain situations, and the professional judgment of Dr. Restaino, we sometimes make exceptions.

Report of Findings

We will spend about 10 minutes reviewing the results of your exam findings with you and answering any questions you may have at this time.  The four most common questions are:

  • What's wrong?
  • Can Chiropractic help me?
  • How long will it take?
  • How much will it cost?

Based on our findings, we will make treatment recommendations and then proceed with your first adjustment/manipulation and other therapy procedures depending on your individual case.  As always in our office if you have any questions please ask!

Patient Responsibilities

Chiropractic care is a partnership approach to better health.  Part of your recovery is based on what we do in the office, and the other part on what you do.

  • Follow our advice
  • Keep your appointments
  • Ask questions
  • Expect results
  • Give it time
  • Pay your bill
  • Tell others

Doctors of chiropractic have a high patient satisfaction rate and achieve outstanding results.  Our treatment recommendations are based on years of experience with similar cases.  If you stay on your treatment plan you will reach your health goals!

Regular Visits

The first and second visits take longer then regular visits because we are evaluating and diagnosing your condition and then explaining what is wrong and what you need to do to get well.  A regular office visit will typically require 10-15 minutes depending on the stage of your care.  Our office runs on time, so you will not waste time waiting for treatment.  Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the one before.  Your problem should get less frequent and less severe as you progress through the treatment plan.  Miss a visit and we can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.

Periodically we will perform re-examinations to confirm you are progressing as expected.  Each individual responds differently to chiropractic so in some cases your treatment may be decreased and in others it may be increased.

Maintenance/Wellness Visits

After your treatment plan is completed most patients are feeling significantly better.  Their pain is decreased or completely relieved.  At this point you may be tempted to discontinue care.  Of course, how long you choose to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you.  Your problem develops long before you notice symptoms.  This is why most progressive Doctors of Chiropractic recommend periodic visits to check your problem areas.  We will discover a joint problem or weakness before it causes severe discomfort.  Many patients mention how much better their overall health is when they are under chiropractic care.  Everybody is different in how often they need to be treated.  For some it can be as little as a few times a year; for others it can be a few times per month.  It depends on your age, condition of joints/spine and work/leisure activities.
